At Petersburg Plant of Precision Alloys an experimental batch of cold-rolled strip from a high-quality heat-resistant nickel-chromium alloy alloyed with iron, molybdenum, and niobium was successfully produced. This was the first experience of producing KhN53BMTYU by classical metallurgical technologies rather than powder metallurgy. In mechanical properties the alloy is similar to the well-known foreign material NN 718.
Nickel-chromium alloys are produced from pure charge materials by vacuum remelting. Thanks to alloying with chromium, iron, molybdenum, and niobium the materials are ideal for use in extreme conditions, in particular for high-temperature service.
Special alloy properties:
Heat-resistant nickel-chromium materials are well suited to severe operating conditions. They are widely used in industries that require high resistance to elevated temperatures, aggressive environments, and other extreme conditions, for example when creating gas turbine engines and chemical equipment.
Producing heat-resistant nickel-chromium alloys opens new prospects for modern technological industry and underscores the plant’s position as a leader in innovation and development.
The Research Center (PZPS R&D) specializes in developing, researching, and introducing innovative materials with outstanding characteristics. PZPS R&D works not only on creating and improving the materials themselves but also on developing technologies and methods for their use in various industries.
One of the center’s key tasks is continual improvement of alloy chemical composition and production technologies to improve their physical and mechanical properties.
Striving to maintain the highest quality standards, PZPS R&D strengthens its position as a reliable partner in research and innovation. Interaction with leading enterprises and organizations allows the center to strengthen its position in developing and applying heat-resistant materials, contributing to progress in the technological sphere.
