According to Profile magazine, construction has begun in the Nizhny Novgorod Region on a production complex with its own laboratory to create domestic metal-cutting tools for hard-to-machine materials used in aircraft building, mechanical engineering, and other industries.
The project’s goal is import substitution in the production of solid-carbide and ceramic axial tools for cutting metals that are difficult to machine. The complex is being built by NPO Krasny Oktyabr. Investment amounts to 400 million rubles. Tool production is planned to start in 2024.
