It was on this day in 1990 that the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation was adopted, opening a new chapter in the country’s history.
However, the meaning of this holiday goes far beyond a single historical date. It is shaped by centuries of constructive labor, military heroism, scientific discoveries, and cultural achievements of many generations of Russians. Behind every stage of the state’s development are people who, through their work, strengthened the country’s economic power, defended its interests, and laid the foundation for future successes.
Today, Russia Day symbolizes national unity, continuity of generations, and shared responsibility for the present and future of our Motherland. The St. Petersburg Precision Alloys Plant is not just a modern metallurgical enterprise—it is a vital part of Russia’s industry, supplying high-tech sectors with materials of strictly defined properties.
PZPS products are used in the manufacturing of equipment and components for space technology, aviation systems, radio-electronic industry, energy, instrumentation, and mechanical engineering. Special alloys are applied in sensors, transformers, navigation systems, communication systems, and high-precision measuring equipment.
In today’s world, the ability to independently develop and produce critically important materials has become one of the key factors in national security and sustainable economic development.
By creating high-tech alloys, the PZPS team contributes to solving a major national task—strengthening Russia’s technological sovereignty. This work includes:
supplying Russian enterprises with strategically important domestically produced materials;
reducing dependence on foreign supplies of special alloys;
developing Russian metallurgical technologies;
supporting innovative projects in high-tech sectors of the economy;
