Every year on 12 June Russia celebrates one of the youngest state holidays — Russia Day. It embodies key values: freedom, peace, and accord among citizens of the Russian Federation.
The holiday’s history dates from the early 1990s, when the Declaration of State Sovereignty of our country was adopted. This important document confirmed the supremacy of the Constitution and laws of the RF and ensured equal rights for all citizens, public organizations, and political parties. In the same period a landmark event occurred — the country received a new name — the Russian Federation.
In 1991 the first presidential elections of the RF were held, won by B. N. Yeltsin. In the same year 12 June was declared a state holiday — Day of Adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty, which later became known as Independence Day. The holiday received the official name “Russia Day” on 1 February 2002.
Today Russia Day is not merely a holiday — it is a symbol of national unity and shared responsibility for the country’s present and future.
One vivid example of contribution to Russia’s development is the activity of import-substituting enterprises such as Petersburg Plant of Precision Alloys.
Import substitution
Import substitution, that is replacing imported goods with domestic analogues on the domestic market, plays a key role in ensuring the country’s technological and economic independence. It brings the country significant benefit in several key aspects:
PZPS actively develops analogues of foreign alloys, which is an important step on the path to import substitution. Recently the company released an experimental batch of analogues of such well-known foreign alloys as Inconel 625, Inconel 718, and Inconel C-276. This was a significant achievement testifying to the high level of domestic technologies.
Producing unique products
PZPS’s main products are precision alloys widely used in various high-tech industries. The enterprise’s range includes the following alloy types:
Special melting technologies are used to melt these precision alloys and a high production culture is maintained. This makes it possible to release products distinguished by unique properties and high quality, making them indispensable in such important industries as automotive, electrical engineering and electronics, instrument making, and aviation and space industries.
On this landmark day we would like to express deep gratitude to everyone who contributes to Russia’s development and prosperity. Thanks to your efforts and dedication to your work, our country continues to move forward, strengthening its economic power and raising the quality of life of its citizens.
Special words of gratitude we address to every employee working for the good of our Motherland. Your professionalism, diligence, and drive for excellence are the foundation of all our achievements. You are true heroes of our time, creating a future for us and our descendants.
We will continue to work on strengthening our country’s economic power, creating new jobs and contributing to the development of innovations. Our drive for excellence and independence will allow Russia to remain a strong, self-sufficient power.
Happy holiday, dear compatriots! Happy Russia Day!
