In early October an important event took place at PZPS — presentation of documents on upskilling and raising professional skill grades. This was the first presentation within the plant’s training and methodology center, and it marked a new stage in developing the enterprise’s corporate culture.
Training was conducted in winter 2023 and aimed at upskilling both engineering and technical workers and specialists in blue-collar occupations. Experienced lecturers from Magnitogorsk State Technical University named after Grigory Ivanovich Nosov were invited to conduct classes. PZPS employees successfully completed training and received corresponding documents, which allowed them to improve their professional competencies and expand career prospects.
Upskilling of engineering and technical personnel
Engineering and technical employees of the PZPS plant completed training under the additional professional education program “Metal Forming.” This upskilling gave employees important advantages:
- Raising work efficiency. Thanks to updated knowledge and skills, specialists began performing their duties faster and more accurately, which positively affected productivity.
- Reducing error risk. New knowledge helps minimize the likelihood of errors at work, which raises the overall quality level of products manufactured.
- Developing corporate culture. Training helps strengthen values of continual improvement, which positively affects the overall culture of the enterprise.
- Raising employee motivation. Upskilling serves as an additional stimulus for development, motivating employees toward new achievements.
- Exchange of experience and knowledge. Classes at the training and methodology center create a basis for specialist interaction, allowing them to exchange experience and improve collective results.
Thus upskilling of engineering and technical personnel at PZPS not only helps employees grow professionally but also improves the internal atmosphere at the enterprise, making the team more cohesive and effective.
Raising grades for specialists in blue-collar occupations
For specialists in blue-collar occupations, vocational training was organized under the program “Cold-Rolling Mill Operator” with assignment of various grades. Upskilling gives a number of substantial advantages:
- Raising wages. Specialists with a higher grade receive higher wages, which stimulates them toward professional growth.
- Respect in the collective. Employees with a higher grade enjoy deserved respect both among colleagues and among management.
- Ability to perform more complex tasks. Raising grade opens access to participating in solving complex tasks, which contributes to professional growth and acquiring experience.
- Confidence in one’s abilities. Specialists who completed vocational training and raised their grade feel more confident in their duties and are ready to solve more complex tasks.
Raising grades at PZPS is an important part of the overall personnel development strategy and allows specialists in blue-collar occupations to advance on the career ladder and contribute to the success of the whole company.
