PZPS at Metal-Expo 2024: strengthening cooperation and opening new opportunities

Employees of Petersburg Plant of Precision Alloys visited the largest Russian exhibition of the metallurgical and mining industry — Metal-Expo 2024. The event was held in Moscow and brought together leading companies and industry experts to discuss current issues, demonstrate innovative solutions, and strengthen business ties. Participating in this event allowed PZPS representatives to immerse themselves in the latest trends and open prospects for further plant development.

The Metal-Expo exhibition is a significant event for the metallurgical industry, annually attracting producers, suppliers, and consumers of products and equipment for metallurgy from Russia and CIS countries. • 27th International Conference “Russian Metals Market.” The event discussed prospects of the Russian metals market, features of its regulation, and the influence of foreign economic factors on supply and demand. Plant representatives received valuable information on dynamics and forecasts for main market segments, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, allowing them to plan deliveries and sales more accurately.
• Round table “Working with foreign suppliers under modern conditions.” During the discussion, opportunities and problems linked to importing metallurgical equipment and materials were discussed. PZPS employees discussed with colleagues approaches to building supply chains, strategic directions of import substitution, and ways to minimize risks linked to currency fluctuations and transport restrictions.
• 23rd Scientific and Technical Conference “New promising materials, equipment, and technologies for obtaining them.” The conference presented the latest developments in creating high-tech materials such as alloys based on aluminum, nickel, magnesium, and titanium. Innovative methods of producing them were also considered, including additive technologies and laser welding.
