PZPS received a GOST R ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems certificate of conformity

Petersburg Plant of Precision Alloys has improved its existing quality management system, raising the enterprise’s efficiency and competitiveness.

What is GOST R ISO 9001?

GOST R ISO 9001 is an international standard that sets requirements for a quality management system. Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), this standard defines generally accepted principles and approaches to achieving high product quality.

The main principles embedded in GOST R ISO 9001 are:

GOST R ISO 9001 is based on the idea of continual improvement and constantly raising quality management system effectiveness. It gives organizations tools to manage processes, analyze data, and take measures to prevent problems and defects.

What was done to obtain the certificate?

To obtain a certificate of conformity to GOST R ISO 9001, PZPS completed the following steps:

2. Risk analysis and assessment. We analyzed our business processes and identified possible risks related to product quality.
3. Document development. We developed and implemented the necessary documentation, such as a quality policy, procedures, and quality assurance instructions.
4. Personnel training. We trained staff so employees understand and can fulfill the standard’s requirements.
5. Implementing the quality management system. We implemented the developed procedures and instructions and made the necessary changes in business processes.
6. Internal auditing. We conducted an internal audit of the quality management system to check its conformity to the standard’s requirements.
7. Conformity assessment. We applied to a certification body that assessed the quality management system’s conformity to the standard’s requirements.
8. Certificate issuance. Our quality management system meets the standard’s requirements, so the certification body issued us a certificate of the organization’s conformity to GOST R ISO 9001.
