Russian Science Day is celebrated on 8 February every year. The holiday was established by a presidential decree of the Russian Federation in 1999 and is dedicated to the development of science and the achievements and discoveries of Russian scientists.
The aim of Russian Science Day is to draw public attention to scientific activity, popularize science among young people, encourage talented scientists and their achievements, and exchange experience and knowledge among scientists in different fields.
Russian Science Day is an important event for the whole country, allowing us to appreciate Russian scientists’ contribution to world science and to highlight the importance of scientific research for the development of society.
