
“This includes import-substitution work, because high-purity vanadium used to be supplied only from abroad,” noted research-center head Vladislav Melekhin, reports the Tula Press news agency.
Another important area that R&D-center specialists are working on is raising the efficiency and environmental performance of metallurgical production — for example, processing slag with low vanadium content, optimizing the water recycling cycle, and cleaning and reusing spent magnesium sulfate solution.
