
The Metaltorg.ru news agency reports, citing EU statistical services, that in the last month of summer imports of unwrought chromium from Russia to the EU amounted to 516 tonnes, 73% more than in July. However, this figure is 39% lower than a year ago. All of the product was shipped to the Netherlands. The import price was €10 per kg.
In total, over the first eight months of 2022 Russia exported 7,070.7 tonnes of unwrought chromium to EU countries (mainly the Netherlands), 8% more than in the same period of 2021. In value terms, imports rose 94%.
